I mean, if your counting kilometers, or speed, you might be in the wrong place. :)
25 km per day is a comfortable pace for me and is what I use when calculating how much time I will need for my Camino. Some days are longer, a few are shorter. It's all about what works best for you.
I'm not sure what type of explanation you are looking for, as there should be no need to defend this distance or any other! ;) If a normal walking speed is about 3-5 km/h, and you are willing to walk for 6 hours, you will cover about 18-30 km...
