    Thanks for pointing that out - so that means if you share your Sat Nav directions with the family (as well as your location permission) they can "walk" the trail along with you and no internet connection required? Anybody tried that?

    If you are into spending time doing prep then the best way is to actually LOOK at the trails in Google Maps via Street View panos - there are 200 billion of them - you will find a great number of trail "types"
