Hi everyone,
I am in heart surgery recovery. It was open heart. Very taxing. I have walked four full Caminos and have done half of two others. I am normally very fit.
I was wondering if others have done Caminos after open heart surgery and how did it go? Thanks.

We will be doing the Camino Inglés starting on Sept. 28th, 2015. We have done a few already, but are looking forward to this one. Have heard very nice things about it. We are also doing a blog. The link is below for those who might be interested.

Hi,
My girlfriend and I are doing the Camino Inglés in late Sept. 2015. Does anyone know, for sure, of backpack transportation from Ferrol and along the Camino. My girlfriend is small and carrying a backpack all the way is no fun. She, however, is Camino able, having done two Caminos already...
Hi, My name is Ray. I'm from California and will be starting the Camino del Norte on April 26th from Irún. I will walk for about four weeks. Not sure where I will end up, but then will have to return home. If necessary, I will hopefully return this year to finish. This will be my 4th Camino...
Hi,
I am doing the Camino Portuguese in Sept. 2014 and was curious, or concerned, about highway walking on the Camino from Lisbon to Porto. It seems like I have read a lot about how unsafe it could possibly be. Of course observing all the laws and not doing anything out of the ordinary, should...
Hello,
I have written a couple time. This site is quite useful. I was wondering if anyone has walked from Lisbon to Vila Franca da Xira in one day, and how was it? That is my current plan for our first day starting in Sept, so wanted to hear from those who have walked it. Two year ago I did The...
Hi,
I have posted before. I am doing the Camino Portuguese in Sept and will go from Lisbon to Santiago. I am using John Brierley's book as a guide. My thought is to do the Alternate coast route from Vila de Conde to Tui instead of the recommended, or more common inland route. Any thoughts on...
Hello,
I will be walking the Camino Portuguese in Sept and was wondering about baggage transport services from Lisbon. I know there are services further on, but I was curious about them from Lisbon. All along the way I will stay in small hotels and not albergues. Also I will have hotel...
Hi,
I will be arriving in Le Puy on Saturday, Oct 4th around 7pm and will start walking Sunday morning around 8 or 9 in the morning. Will there be a place to pick up a Pilgrim's Passport prior to leaving Le Puy?
Thanks,
Ray
Hi,
I've been using this site a lot lately and it has been very helpful. Thanks. I'm now wondering about buying a phone, maybe in Le Puy, or along the Camino, to use just to make calls within France. I did this last year along the Camino In Spain. I bought it there and and used it to make room...
I was wondering if Spanish is common along the Le Puy Camino. I have been studying French for a few months and can construct some basic French phrases to help me along the way. I think I can order food, rooms, taxis, and follow train schedules and such.
I did the Camino de Santiago last year...
Hi, I will be doing three weeks of Le Puy in September. On Oct 4th I will be returning from Moissac to Toulouse on that morning for a flight at 6:25am to Paris.
Does anyone know how much a taxi would cost for this trip. Also if someone could recommend another form of transportation, that would...
Hi,
We will be leaving for the Camino in a couple of weeks and were wondering about an Advance Health Directive giving each of us the authority to make health decisions for the other should something happen to either of us.
While we do have them here for us in the United States we are unsure if...
Hello,
I will be doing the Camino in a few weeks and have decided to bring along my IPad in order to blog. What concerns me is keeping the IPad dry and free of moisture while it's in my backpack, especially if it rains. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to the Camino.
Thanks
Ray
Hi,
I'm Ray. My girlfriend Patricia and I will be doing the Camino for the first time in April 2012. We became familiar with it last year and can hardly wait to go. We're arriving in SJPP on April 21 and beginning a day or two later. We're hoping to complete it in around 30 days. We have done a...
My girlfriend and I are planning to do the Camino in April and are thinking that at some point we may spend time walking alone. What I would like to know is if anyone knows if we can rent phones so we can call each other while in Spain. We won't need the phone to call home(U.S.), or any place...
