    It seems we've been planning our Camino forever! We're leaving May 23rd from Tulsa OK to Leon to start our hike. I'm so glad to finally say. " it's this year!" Actually 141 days, but who's counting. :)

    June weather

    I will be between Leon and Santiago in June. In looking at the weather maps and historical data it appears that the weather will be between 50° and 70°F with a 50% chance of rain most any day. However, I have not been there so like most you have to prepare for anything. Buen Camino!

    Iberia Airlines Experiences

    I have flown Iberia in Spain & wasn't impressed. My son-in-law flew them from the US & said it was horrible. Very uncomfortable. I'm going to walk in May & will fly American non-stop from DFW. I looked at Iberia out of Chicago but don't think I'd chance inferior equipment.

    I have used them, and found them to be worthless. They get all "gummy" & then it is hard getting it out of your clothes.

    Thanks for the reminder. This is a religious service not a performance. Catholic or not it's a time of Thanksgiving to God. The very name of the Mass - the Eucharist is from the Greek word for "Thanksgiving" (Eucharistia)
