Dax here, staying in an Albergue in Belorado.
I’d welcome wisdom and knowledge from the community
Some of us have been told that the albergue in Ages is not open today. The suggestion is they never open on Wednesday but it not showing on any of the apps we have acquired

I’m filled with anticipation and dread as my countdown app clicks away the days, hours and seconds for the time when I will set foot in Biarritz.
It’s showing 5 days, 5 hours and 5 minutes
I fly from stansted and will make my way to St Jean to the pilgrim office there, to receive a smile...
I'm in England and I know I need a credencial.
But where are they available - can I get one on the trail or should I get one before I leave - I purchased my seat on the plane and will be arriving in Biarritz on October 31st.
A good friend has described the concept of thin places.
Specifically, based on the Celtic saying that heaven and earth are only three feet apart, but in the thin places that distance is even smaller.
In my life, I have experienced this - but did not have a convenient way to label it...
I've returned to the UK from living and working in India and I'm ready to finish the planning for my pilgrimage and start before the end of the year.
Are there any perigrinos out there that would wish to meet, to share fellowship, share facts and insights for the newbie
We all give to others, whether it is through our time, our talents, or our resources, but I am most interested to understand what it's like as the receiver of such a gift.
I seek insights from peregrinos who have been the beneficiary a gift, of an act of unexpected love from a total stranger...
There's a massive volume of information in this place. I seek more insights about what it's like to be a Christian on the camino
Are there Christians here who might point me in the right direction.

There is a saying that ignorance is bliss which means I should just let go and just let it happen.

Hi
I plan to take the Way of St James in November 2014.
I have just relocated from the UK to Pune, India for 6 months. I reach out to any and all pilgrims for discussion.
I am considering wearing a kilt when I walk the Way of St James.
I welcome.advice from experienced kilt wearers. I am especially interested in the benefits and the concerns from the camino family.

I have observed discussions about "gadgets" on the way of Saint James and I seek guidance from enthusiastic proponents of technology on the Camino. which are the "must have" and can't do without items.
Conversely, I also would like insights from those perigrinos who have taken an alternate view...
I am building myself up to walk to the resting place of St James in 2014.
I know that for me, this is a deep calling and I wish to ensure that I do all I can to be appropriately prepared for the pilgrimage - the walking will be arduous and I know there will be privations. - They do not concern...
