Anyone walking French camino in late Dec. 2014 or early 2015?

Oh really :) Do you have an actual date? I had almost decided to either forget the whole idea or start from Leon and see if anyone could begin with me from there. The thing is I have to make up my mind soon so that I can buy an air fare. Cheers Jill

Where can I fly to ... direct from Santiago?

Hi yogaflowjo, Have you considered catching a train up to San Sebastian or wherever it is you finally decide to go? When I finished walking the meseta from Burgos to Leon in early January this year I caught a train from Leon which took me to Vigo on the Atlantic coast - it took about 6 hours...

I am still wondering if perhaps I would be better off doing part of The Lycian Way in Turkey instead as I think the weather may be a...

Thank-you - This is a great website. I have had this vague notion to walk (at least some of) the Camino for a quite a few years now and almost bought a ticket to fly out Boxing Day and walk 10 days on the Camino but from the research I have done it is not the ideal time weather-wise - and also a...

Is there a part of the Camino that you could walk comfortably for 10 days starting Dec 28th

I have a break over late December and most of January (school holidays)and have wanted to do the Camino for a long time. I would be flying from Melbourne Australia December 26 and would love to walk from Sarria to Santiago de Compestela. Is this possible or would the weather be too bad? Thanks Jill
