Arrived in Santiago on Oct. 9 (42 days) having completed the Via de Plata from Seville . Happy to say that in the first 39 days we walked in the rain only once! Galicia wasn't so kind as we got soaked 2 of the last 3 days--but it just didn't matter by then. Feeling very fortunate--many thanks!
a knapsack of the usual items...plus a nice blue umbrella, a few dress shirts and one pair dress pants. Yes, I am crazy ...that's crazy tired of wearing the same stuff all the time..
Peace, love
Hello, I'll be finishing Via De Plata in mid April. I have a flight home on April 19th, flying out from Santiago. The flight leaves at 12:40. What are my travel/time options for leaving Santiago to arrive in good time to catch that flight. There is a Ryanair flight that works but I don't feel...
Just trying to work out the logistics for a Via de Plata camino. Anyone have any suggestions for an economical, quick or interesting way to get to Sevilla from Paris--would arrive at CDG about 11 am, mid-March.
Thanks.
I have 5 compostelas somewhere in my house-I am not sure
where, but they are here. I have never displayed one, nor have I
ever even shown one to a friend or acquaintance.
Are they meaningless to me?--no, not at all. I was bursting with
pride after completing every inch of the Camino...
I am probably going to walk the Aragones in the spring, 2014. I am curious as to the pros and cons of two potential starting points, Oleron Sainte Marie or Somport. Also, I am wondering if some one can provide the best way to reach either location from Paris, my likely entry point. Thanks.
Very interested in hearing about the musical instruments other pilgrims brought on their camino. What did you bring,,,flute?, fiddle?, drum?... please tell. And how did it work out? I brought a guitar and you can read about it at http://steeltownpilgrimamusicalpath.blogspot.ca
Hello, I'm relatively new to the forum, but have completed three caminos. I just began a new blog-the first instalment tells of a wonderful encounter on El Norte with "My Pal Chacon"-- hope you like it. http://steeltownpilgrimamusicalpath.blogspot.ca/
