I'm on my second day of the camino, and I'm doing it alone myself....
do it... alone is just fine, you meet people on the way, and they are all very friendly and helpful.
Buen Camino...
hi Conrad!
i start mach 31, but will be taking it slowly and will be spending 2 nights in Pamplona, so maybe we"ll run into each other somewhere along the way!
Buen Camino
hi! i'm in SJPP right now, I'm booked at orisson for Monday, and I'm hoping to make it. They told me that the napoleon route is closed due to snow earlier in the week, but I'm hopeful it will be clear by monday/tuesday as the temperatures are up a bit... If not, I guess the Valcarlos route...
All i have "planned" is the first night in Orisson march 31! I'll for with the flow! I do plan of staying extra nights in a few places like burgos and Leon, and i'm considering on getting off the camino from burgos to go to Bilbao! (Being so close, it would be a shame not to go, the Guggenheim...
Thanks for the tips! I was thinking of bringing a couple of granola bars/trail mix for the first few days, as i know it will be a steep hike and i would need the extra energy!
Hi!
I finally decided on my starting date, which will be March 31, the first day Orisson is open (i will NEED the stopover). I hope weather will cooperate! I'm in no rush, so if i need to delay a day or two to do the Napoleon Route, so be it!
I'm excited about my Camino, can't wait! And...
Happy 50th Darlene! I'm doing my camino for my 50th as well (last october), will start from SJPP March 31, weather permitting. Will be going slow, stay an extra night in pamplona, so maybe our paths will cross and we can share a glass of wine for the big 50!!!
Thank you! Hopefully espirit du Chemin will be open late march. Will check them out!
If not! I'll miss it too.. Orisson will be closed on my start day!
Anyway, i'm sure i'll have a wonderful camino.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but since I'll be missing the Orisson camaradería (wont be open when i start), what woukd be a good hostel in SJPP to start interacting with fellow pilgrims?
I'm planning of spending a coupke of nights there before i start.
I'm doing my Camino alone...
Holy Friday in Santiago should be great! Usualy fridays in Spain have nice processions!
in Santiago there are the "procesion del Santo Entierro" (holy burial), and at least two others!
