I have to say that I do carry a high vis jacket. It's made of pertex, very very light, yellow in colour and is fairly wind proof. I can assure you ,very handy when crossing the Pyrenees. Jolly handy piece of kit.

On my camino trips from Gatwick I use a couple of rain covers, one for the back and the other for the front. It hides all those tentacles and to hold the the luggage info a lightweight strap around the middle. It has worked for me on several trips.
I agree stop issuing certificates. If you are a pilgrim and you're doing the journey for a certificate then I think you're doing the pilgrimage for the wrong reason.
Just my thoughts, pease don't hang me out to dry, or worse still have me cancelled.
I love wise Pilgrim but I have to say I didn't know that. I'm proof that you're never to old to learn. Thank you for this useful information, must have a play now.
Reviews of albergues are just peoples opinions, we must remember the majority of the people who give these bad reviews are holiday makers not pilgrims, unfortunately they don't know the difference between the two.
For me, I love staying in the local albergues, it's all part of the experience...
I have been T2 for over 10 years and have never experienced any problems with my feet. On my first camino I got one small blister on my little toe, this was due to the wrong size shoes. I regularly walk 12/15 miles to stretch the legs and find with the right shoes and socks you'll be fine.

I'm not really counting because my start date is the middle of September, but flight is booked, Albergue reservations up to and including Zubiri booked and training started 3 weeks ago. This will be my third camino and I'm as excited as I was on my first.
But who's counting!!
Looking at the prices from Biarritz to SJPDP they appear to be in line with EB, I think it's always good to have competition. I used EB 9 years ago ad could't fault them.
This year I'm doing the bus and train, I'll probably get lost between the airport and the bus stop, as they say it's all...
A few years ago my wife and I walked from Winchester to Canterbury, a very nice pilgrimage. The only downside was the accommodation or lack of, my feeling were that it's not very well supported or organised as a recognised pilgrim route. This did not put us off the journey and we really enjoyed...
I have to say it was the film that inspired me to do my first camino. I do take the point about Martin Sheen not making the effort not to learn Spanish. When I arrive I Spain I couldn't speak a word of Spanish, but by the end of my camino I could get by comfortably, so no excuse.
I don't normally respond to polls but here goes, I put down Physical Injury, it wasn't life threatening..
I did the CF in 2015 on my own and had a magical experience, my wife joined me in Sarrtia and we did that last week together. The journey understand how lucky I've been in life and made me...
