    Taping for Prevention

    I'm a fan of kinesiology tape for blister prevention. It stays on for several days and is flexible to adapt well. I also used A&D ointment for between the toes lubrication as it has some medication rather than just vaseline.

    Pack rain covers are nylon and not really even waterproof. Use a pack liner inside. Poncho will help too. Ditch the rain cover.

    Best Toe Sock Liners for Hiking: Comparing Injini Coolmax and Nuwool Liners with Smartwool Merino Socks

    I have used both. The wool ones are a little thicker, and I like them for colder weather, but have used them in the Summer, also. Whatever fits in your shoes the best. If you have one foot bigger than the other, as I do, you could use the wool on your smaller foot.
