How many people go right to Orisson?

I flew Canada to Paris to Biarritz, spent the night near the airport and took a train to SJPdP first thing the next morning. Stopped at the pilgrims office and headed straight for Valcarlos. Didn't take time adjust to the travel or anything, just got going.

    How many days

I am obese, and without training (obv not recommended), I did it in 35 days Sept/Oct 2020. I took 0 days off, but had 4 or 5 days of 6-15 kms. I did send my bag ahead a fair bit, but my goal was to walk and complete, and I did just that.

    Decisions...decisions

I wrote myself several potential future camino plans, and a 15 day one for me was the Primitivo from Oviedo to Santiago. It really could be done a tad shorter by most people too, but theres an option to look at....of all the ones I've "prepared" its the only one close to your interest. My...

    Average daily expenses?

Also if you are able, could continue walking to Fistera and Muxia. I took 39 days for Frances and 6 more for those. Worst case if you walk and finish earlier than planned and see some other small areas on your way back to Paris

Safety for pre-dawn starts on the Camino Frances

Left early a lot of days in the dark when I was there. The thing was I didn't keep my head lamp on I have a really good eyesight so if the terrain was pretty good I had it off until I needed it and just used the moonlight. I never did feel like I had an issue though

If you had 45-49 days for the Camino Frances, how would you spend it?

My walk took me 45 days with no days off, but a few 10km days. I walked SJPDP to Santiago in 39, then took another 6 for Santiago to Fistera to Muxia. Then I bussed back to Santiago for my flight.
