I average 32-38 km per day, some days are short especially when arriving in Pamplona, Burgos and Leon where I like to spend a full day. Some days are over 40 km. It all depends on how I feel. Be interested to know. Who has walked 50 Km?
Start in SJPDP, walk 3 days to Pamplona, take the train to Leon (Dep13:17 Arr17:21, Tourist fare 20euros approx.), then walk to Santiago. Good luck in what you decide to do.
If very fit as you say, then you should do it quite easily. I'm 70 yrs old, did the same walk last May from the 15th and arrive in Santiago on 29 May.
Buen Camino
Hi Jose -
From what you have said about yourself you should do it easy in 20 days. Three years ago when I was 66 I did it in 24 days. The only issue would be, if you got a an injury. Hope not. Good luck, and buen camino

Good luck for ever you decide to do. This year, I leave St Jean either Thu 11 or Fri 12 May for Pamplona arrive Sun 14 May, depart that afternoon by train to Leon, stay the night in Hotel Paris, then walk from Leon to Santiago hopefully arriving by 24 July.
I usually spent the first night in St Jean as I arrive around 2.00pm, this time I would like to walk onto Valcarlos. Would I be too late for the albergue if I was to reach Varcarlos around 4.30 pm.
Tp3660, I also live in Melbourne and have done the CF 4times. I usually fly to return to Dublin then onto Biarritz with Ryanair.
For next May I have a return to Dublin for $1311 as yet I have not decided which Camino to do or walk in England. Good luck.
Hi
I'm doing the CF this May /June (24 Days) then onto the TMB from June 9 to June 17 (8 days). My main concern is that I may be a week early, as mid June is recommended.
