I know exactly how you feel. I started counting down at day 149 and I'm finally at 19, but the wait is killing me!

Oh, I thought you meant just the bladder, but no, that's normal, it's just when a heavy pack leans against the nozzle and squeezes it it can flood water everywhere, as it's still under pressure in the bladder itself.

I was wondering this, too. On my last hike I took it and it made absolutely no difference, everyone still stunk! The good thing is that because everyone stinks equally no one really notices. At least not until you get to a town.
Having said that, I still can't imagine not taking it.
Alternatively, people make informed decisions based on previous experience. Being aware of keeping your weight down is generally a preference for anyone who does a lot of hiking, especially multi-day hiking.
Not everyone walking the Camino is a first time walker, and most people on here...

I'll be trying to keep the weight my mum is carrying down as much as possible and helping her with some if necessary because she has hip problems, so I don't want her in any discomfort if we can avoid it.
