It's probably about time to lock this thread. Ivar has already stated that there should be nothing to compel users of this forum to give their full details, and we seem to have drifted quite far from the original topic.
Forgive my ignorance just in case any of the above posters are native Spanish speakers, but I thought it would be "Te importa si te sacque una foto?" I was taught that the correct verb to use was Sacar fotos, not hacer or tomar.
I'm the first to argue that people need to make their own mistakes and learn as they go along - I had to on my first Camino and that's why I why I carried a tent the entire way and never used it once. But that was before I knew about this forum. I don't think it's fair to dismiss someone's...
When I read statements like this I'm always reminded of the dedication at the front of the guide book that I used on my first Camino that said something along the lines of "Dedicated to all those who begin a walk and end a pilgrimage".
I would check the exact wording but the poor book didn't...
Just to re-enforce a point made above - if you see posts that you find offensive please report it to the moderators. We can't read every post on every thread but can and do take action when such posts come to our attention.
We call it "GenMed" in my household. We're very proficient at starting a sentence in one language and ending it in another, throwing a few vaguely Portuguese-sounding words into the middle.
I can't say whether or not it's helped, but it's certainly on my CV, and is a good fallback if you ever get asked about a proud achievement in an interview.
The Camino has been there for hundreds of years. It'll still be there when you've saved up enough. I can understand your impatience to start (I'd go tomorrow if I had the time and money) but just remember it'll just be all the more special for you when you do make it.
