Albergue Casa de Espiritualidad Nuestra Señora de Belén (Carrión de los Condes)

Warm and welcoming. They washed my clothes at no charge. I felt so cared for, I went back after I finished my Camino and stayed for a week. They then considered me a resident and was served a different menu in a separate "room" beyond a divider. The nuns were very friendly and attentive. I was...

    Tens Machine

I use mine for lower back pain and cramping. My machine also has a muscle stimulant feature, which I will use on thigh and calf muscles.

    Tens Machine

Hi, I took one and used it some. Should have used it much more. Finished in July and I am still walking like someone from the Ministry of Silly Walks. I will take it on my next Camino and use it more frequently and hope for a better outcome.

PILGRIM ACTION ALERT! Keep Viloria de Rioja on the French Way!

Done. One of my best days on the Camino in 2014, at Acacio and Orrieta's albergue.

    Navarrete

After the pilgrim blessing, after mass, the priest took all the pilgrims into a special locked room full of more treasures where he gave us a mini tour. He had everyone say where they were from and gave each of us a prayer card. He really seemed to enjoy interacting with the pilgrims.

Fellow pilgrims stealing belongings on the Camino - it happens

So, now I wonder if someone has left something behind do you pick it up and hope you see them on the way or next albergue or do you leave it where it is? I have done both since I am usually one of the last to leave, on one occasion I knew whose flashlight/torch it was and I caught up with her at...

Being English I Like my Tea

You can make your own " milk sticks". Take a large diameter straw and seal one end with heated pliers or even a hot hair straightener, fill the straw with powdered milk, creamer, what ever you want and seal the other end. Buen caffeinated Camino.

    Wonderful B&B in Acebo

Checked my Credencial, I was actually there on June 1st. I cannot attest to the light situation as I don't get up before daylight, not a morning person. By the way, I went back up the street and had breakfast at one of the new albergues.

    Wonderful B&B in Acebo

Sorry to hear about your experience, Bev. I have stayed at Meson El Acebo on my 3 Caminos, they have always been more than gracious. I stayed there this June( 2014) and the family had a funeral to attend and so did not open for breakfast and you did indeed have to leave through the back door...

Why are you walking so slow, or did you train for this?

While I was never asked these particular questions, there were times when people wanted to walk with me,but I knew I would be too slow for them . So, I would tell them, I get up late, walk slow, stop often, and finish early and you are welcome to saunter with me. Invariably, they would say "...

    Simply jumping into the abyss...

Wow, Jeffrey, that sounds incredible! You've got the hard part figured out--- What's next after the Camino. As for the Camino itself it will sort itself out.

    Simply jumping into the abyss...

Sorry I am leaving for Pamplona on the 24th not 27th, I hope I didn't make that mistake on reservations!
