158 days to wait, read all the Books, my bags are packed. How to survive the wait??

I know exactly how you feel. I started counting down at day 149 and I'm finally at 19, but the wait is killing me! Feels like it's never going to happen.

    Water

Oh, I thought you meant just the bladder, but no, that's normal, it's just when a heavy pack leans against the nozzle and squeezes it it can flood water everywhere, as it's still under pressure in the bladder itself.

    Water

I prefer a bladder as it keeps my hands free, and so far on our practice walks my mum has been getting very frustrated having to ask one of us to get her water bottle out of her bag for her while we walk, so we're going to invest in one for her too. I think for her we're getting a central...

    Weight fanaticism

To each their own. I'll be trying to keep the weight my mum is carrying down as much as possible and helping her with some if necessary because she has hip problems, so I don't want her in any discomfort if we can avoid it. It's not "fanatacism", it's wanting to make sure you're comfortable...

Trekking poles or a pilgrim staff

The search button is up in the top blue banner, and there is also a button written in Green just below the ad bar which say "Check if your question has been asked before". Either of these will make your search easy. Or, if you go to the Equipment Questions thread you'll often find a topic on...

    Class of 2014

Hi everyone, I'm glad so many others are also planning their 2014 Camino already. I thought I was just being over-zealous. This trip is actually my mum's doing. She's been wanting to go for a while, and so my big sister, niece, and i have decided to join her. We're aiming for mid April/May...
