2016 Camino del Norte

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Portuguese "2014" from Tui to Santiago
Camino Norte "April 2016"
Hola todos los peregrinos. We are Jacquie and Dave from the west coast of Canada. We will be starting our Camino del Norte from Hondarribia on April 18th and walking for 1 month. Our plans are to get as far as Olviedo as we will also take 2 short side trips off the Camino into the Picos de Europa. We want to visit both Potes and Cangas de Onis and do some walks in and around the Picos. We have walked one week on the Camino Portuguese a couple years ago and it just wasn't sufficient, so here we will be... back again.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I met a Canadian couple in 2014 on the Portuguese walking for just a week. I found it hard to fathom that anyone would travel so far for such a short time. We crossed paths in Pedra Furada on 21 May. I wonder if it was you.

I am also walking el Norte this year, commencing 22 April.
Buen Camino!

We walked early May, so I'm sure that we weren't the couple that you met. For us, our week on the Camino was part of a 6 week trip to Europe, including a yoga retreat in Marrekech just before the Camino. We also had a close friend with us who, due to injuries, could not manage more mileage and we wanted to stay together. But it was all we needed to know to get back there asap. We are very excited for our upcoming Camino in April. We will only a couple days apart from your start date, we will watch out for you and hopefully our paths will cross.

Buen Camino
