Thank you for this link, @mspath. I am enjoying reading it. Apart from the fascinating depiction of the history of the Camino, the appearance of the word hallazgo is lovely - it took me a while to capture the meaning when first I came across it! Another word I love is here too, el auge.
I have copied and now paste a piece of the article that is relevant to this day, 20th March. I will search for it on internet. later.

Thank you so much @mspath. This article conveys so much information that is found only occasionally in bits and pieces on this forum. For example, how the number of foreigners who come to walk or pilgrimage is so immediately beneficial to the Spanish communities along each route, but, after they go home, they spread the word leading others to come. And then many come back to walk again (no news to us who read this forum), but some also return to Spain as tourists.

I read Google's English translation which seemed flawless, though I can't be sure of that.

I think the next line is also worth quoting (edit: I see it was actually quoted above anyway!):

Something like: Pilgrims consume less than tourists but stay three times longer and their consumption is centred around local goods and services.

Yes @jungleboy! And when I reflected on this, I thought how many little dying isolated towns in many countries would also be happy to have these pilgrims/walkers coming to their areas and bolstering their mom and pop establishments. .
