Pamplona to Logrono April (2015)
Logrono to ? JULY (2016)
Hi I'm doing a wee section of the camino by bike with my 12 year old son. We start in Pamplona on 8 April and hope to get to Santo Domingo. I did St Jean to Pamplona in October and loved it. Although I liked most of the albergues I didn't like Jesus y Maria and since its our first night I'd like somewhere a little more private. Suggestions anyone?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks for posting the picture. This looks great and has now gone on my list!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Wow, that looks good.

Casa Ibarrola its on calle Carmen. Just for the showers.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I also stayed at Casa Ibarrola during my Camino. I was able to book a place in advance via the Booking.com website. It's based on capsule hotels in Tokyo - the bunks are self-enclosed with a small locker, a couple of power points and a light switch. As someone else mentioned, there's even a blind you can pull down so you can have some privacy. The showers were the best I came across in any albergue on the Camino. The hospitalero was a lovely guy too, and he spoke English.

I stayed at the Aloha Hostel in Pamplona. I think I paid $16 and that included breakfast and a noon checkout time. Shared room but great showers (2 per gender). Shared kitchen and a grocer was just around the corner. Beautiful terrace for hanging out late into the evening. Nice central location to tour the old city and to get right back on the camino.

Mmmmm , now that I'm thinking bike , and that you are going to hire them ................and that you will need to prepare the bikes - perhaps a cheap hostal is the answer. Not all albergues are geared up for bikes.
And a word of advice ....... Don't go over the Alto del Perdón - ride around it on the alternative route.;)

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
You may wish to investigate the Bike-Lne Service for cyclists on the Camino Frances which lists those albergues which ARE cyclist friendly. See >> http://bike-line.blogspot.com.es/

Buen camino!
Thanks I checked with Ibarrola and they welcome bikes but yikes I can't get any from bike iberia; they need more notice. anyone know who can rent us bikes at such short notice?
