Hello
Walking with a few friends who will be new to the Camino. Due to time constraints
A. Burgos ->Leon, then bus to Sarria -> Santiago
B. Burgos -> Sahagún, then train/bus to OCebriero -> Santiago.

Or another combo I haven’t thought of, we have 2 weeks.

I have done the segment from Leon -> Santiago, and want to walk at least some of the meseta.

Thank you, advice appreciated!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

If your friends want a Compostela in SdC, then B is the selection of choice from that particular menu.
Both A and B involve walking from Sarria to Santiago, and thus qualify for a compostela. I would vote for A, partly because the transportation options might be better to Sarria than to O Cebreiro!

I must be missing something :) In B, it looks like going from Burgos to Sahagun, then busing from Sahagun to O Cebreiro, then continuing the Camino from O Cebreiro to Santiago de Compostela ?

OK, after some sleep I now see why I was missing something :) In my muddled mind, I was substituting 'Sarria' with 'Finesterra' as to geographical location.:oops::oops::eek::eek:

Don't ask me to explain how my thinking got so rearranged; some things are just a mystery.

A little more adventurous and with you seeing even more than you have before is to make the second stretch the Invierno from Ponferada. Plane to Madrid, train to Sahagun, walk to Leon or Astorga, public transit to Ponferada.

I haven't done it but it may be an option for you.

The last days into Burgos you can do without
Would try and stay one day before O Cebriero as the walk past Ruitelan / La Faba is wonderful and the complete opposite to the flatness of the first week.
