Accommodation after Cea?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Casa Bubela, only 9 spaces and a slightly price-gouging price of €30pp for shared room.

Hostal A Taberna de Vento, again not many rooms and was fully booked when i called the day before.

I ended up walking to Lalín. In retrospect at 30km it wasn't all that far from Laxe.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I'd recommend cafeteria nevada for it's extensive pincho menu. They're not gourmet but they are filling and free/low cost with a drink! The semi vegetal hotdog was good

Hi John!

Since you haven't mentioned Oseria I presume you're going the left route.

Well, you have several options on the way to A Laxe. There's a new albergue in Piñor and after that there's Hostal Ateneo, the in Castro Dozon there's Casa Dozón, the at Estación de Lalín there's Hostal A Taberna De Vento.

A Laxe albergue has a mosquito problem. So be warned.

All the info is here: https://www.viadelaplataguide.net/guide/listofplaces#cea

Hope you and the family are keeping well.

Gerald

Last November I just did the long walk from Cea to A Laxe where the municipal albergue was excellent and at that time No mosquito plague (See Gerald Kelly's comment later in this thread). Just the facilities needed as we had had lots of wet weather that day.
Local Resto on the camino served a great supper (13€ inc. vino) and a good coffee the next morning before a gentle walk to Bandeira.
I then took a longish walk to Deseiro where the Reina Lupa Hostel (with adjoining resto) was just superb and then only 10k to SDC.

Bon Camino

Thanks for all this info. In the end we went to Lalin Centro albergue, where the hostess Elena very kindly gave us the private room. Onto Bandeira tomorrow. One day at a time....
