Portugese Route from Lisbon
We will be starting our journey in Lisbon on May 10th with a few days ahead to enjoy the city. Any recommendations for a reasonable hotel or B&B? We would like a central location and a private room.

I stayed in Lisbon for a couple of days end of May 2017.
Found the room on Airbnb, (most useful when Albergues were not available in Portugal).
I did not keep details but stayed in Alfama a couple of streets up from the Apolina Rail Station.
Great landlady called Fatima, the room was clean & quiet and recall space for a bike.
Easy walk into centre of city, good local restaurants and great exit point once the journey begins.
Buen Camino

We are in Sintra at the moment, we spent four days in Lisbon, starting our Portuguese route tomorrow.
Our first three nights were at Poets Hostel, nice place, new location for those that might have stayed prior to January. The common area was small, not enough room to accommodate breakfast. Very clean and we loved our stay.
After finishing the Rota Vincentina we came back to Lisbon and stayed at This is Lisbon Hostel!!!!! This was a FANTASTIC experience!!! Very comfortable and spacious, huge terrace that overlooks Lisbon. The staff was brilliant and incorporated into the experience.
In Sintra we are at Nice Way Hostel which is the PERFECT place to land!!!! Awesome experience, staff, location.
There is a downside... we are now like little cradled baby birds not wanting to leave the nest....we added a night....
The Camino is calling, but for the first time ever we might not be fully hearing it....

I have stayed in many places in Lisboa. Will have to look in my notes to recommend one. Flamingo rings a bell. Good location. Not bad place.

Know you asked about Lisboa... but, as far as Porto I always stay at
Hotel Peninsular
Rua Sa da Bandeira 21, Porto 4000-433, Portugal

Not a bad place. Fairly cheap. Excellent location.

So, before I began my third Caminho Portuguese from Lisbon in April of this year, I had a week with a friend who lives in the Algarve beforehand. However, literally on the first night of landing...
Hello! I lost my blue correction glasses between the flower stall (on the way between Arcades and Pontevedra) and Pontevedra 2 days ago. I might have forgotten them in the Igrexa de Virxe...
