Hi all, I am aiming to complete my Camino in Sept this year, and am looking to take up where I left off back in 2019, Castrojeriz.
I will be flying from Birmingham UK, and was wondering if anyone could advise the best place to head for to get back there to resume? I ASSUMED it would be Madrid, but does anyone have experience of this? All advice welcomed.
Buen Camino.

We have done this so it’s possible. It’s a day’s travelling, but that’s part of the adventure! Catch an early morning flight to Madrid. From Madrid airport book an Alsa bus to Burgos (2 hr 30 min). From Burgos you catch the Autobús Amaya to Castrojeriz (about 50 mins). There’s just one bus a day 5.30pm (weekdays). You’ll get there just in time for dinner :). We stayed at the Albergue Rosalía which was lovely and not far from the bus stop.

Thank you, i will research the options/times on this. I was looking at flying friday and travelling across to castro on the Sat but to do it on one day would be great!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
