Hi - my wife and I are planning to walk this stage in early October. We are flying in & out of Santander but transferring to Logrono & returning from Burgos are proving to be difficult by bus or train in terms of availability and timings.

That leaves renting a car (but it’ll need to be 2 one way contracts) or taking a taxi?

Has anybody had similar issues or able to offer a solution from personal experience?

All advice gratefully received!
Many thanks.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Thanks - I’ll look into that

Great idea from Bilbao, just looked on Caurdrabus Web site and no bookings published yet for September so guess its same for October.
Guess the publish about 6/8 ahead

Bus and train tickets won't usually be available until a short time before you travel. For bus usually a month and train usually about 6 weeks although sometimes you can see the routes and times available by looking on the same day of the week just a week or 2 ahead of today. There can be changes for the season of year, but that is one way to see what may be available.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
It should be no trouble-- I see buses from Santander to Logrono three times a day, and Alsa buses from Burgos to Santander (no frequency available). The scenery up through the mountains will be spectacular.
