Palma and I are starting our 15 days at Albergue de Peregrino, Emaus tomorrow in Burgos. I posted earlier info about the Albergue. Today I was informed of
one big change. We will NOT have Mass or communal meals on Sundays. Pilgrims are encouraged to go to St Nicolas at 17:30 or the Cathedral at 19:30 for mass and after eat tapas or get a meal nearby. You must be back by 21:00 as we will close the Albergue doors.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Wow, that is an early closing time. Is it only on Sunday?

In both Burgos and León the parochial albergues close very early, it is one of the reasons why I seldom stay in them. Both cities come alive at night and I enjoy walking the streets and having a later than usual dinner.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Thank you for you volunteering and commitment.
I like the clarity about the closingtime.
Luckily there is enough private accomodation for those who prefer to enjoy the nightlife in bigger cities.
