Albergue filling up months early?

watching the forum I noted a lot of people reporting on booked (completo) accomodations for April, May.
Figuring this was due to the proximity to Easter and a semi-Holy year, I figured that wouldn't last
so I began to look at elevation gains and how I might break up steep hikes into smaller lengths with longer flat ones
I known it is better to see where the body is at and call a day ahead of time, but I popped a few dates from late September/ October into some private aubergue and others and they had NO openings on those dates- 6 months out?
my fears?
with increased traffic will accommodations really be available even with help from hospitaleros?
with a Holy year will it just be worse even later into season?
I really don't want the weight of a tarp/tent so fear ending up out in the dark walking further than wise or paying bucks beyond the budget for a hotel
can anyone current with today's crowds reassure this future tripping mind?

Websites are not accurate. The places may be closed; the owners may not be maintaining their reservation website; rooms may not be released to third parties like booking.com; and a host of other reasons. Booking a day ahead when you are on the Camino always works. If the internet is not working, phone (or have someone else phone). The inability to book a place today does not mean everything is full!! :)

My best advice is to have faith in the people around you. I have never made reservations and have never been stranded without a bed. Making reservations ahead of time puts a lot of pressure on a pilgrim to push on to their next reservation. This can have painful consequences. It's important to listen to your body along The Way and stop when you need to stop. Worst case, you end up sleeping on somebody's floor. Another thing to consider. Those folks that make reservations... many never show.
Have faith and buen Camino.

The Camino is getting wicked busy, more so each year. What we have found the days have become bed races. With that in our minds we plan our days with shorter treks or perhaps longer ones, we avoid guide book stages and suggestioned accommodations. Consider it all part of the journey and good luck and enjoy.
