albergue in Bayonne

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Thanks
There is no municipal albergue in Bayonne. This albergue is very clean, spacious and the host is very kind. She picked me up from Biarritz airport and the food was perfect. The room was so clean and wide. I used double bed alone. Also the bathroom was clean. Near the train station, free wi-fi. e-mail; aguirresal@aguirre.fr

Since I will be starting in Bayonne next year, I emailed this address and received a nice reply from Socorro. Ok @Viranani we now have a place to stay and a date to meet! Buen camino, Laurie

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I forgot to add the price (20 euros plus 5 for breakfast) and the address,
4 Impasse du Gayon, Maison La Gayonnette, Bayonne.

She also said that two night stays are fine.

And i would not hesitate in staying 2 nights in Bayonne.
Just be careful around the end of July. early August.
The Fetes of Bayonne is just as big as Pamplona.
Wonderful city once you cross the bridge.

Completely agree with Thornley. It's a gem if you do some research. And I would especially recommend it to people on very tight airplane/train connection - just don't rush and spend €€ on taxi, take a break after flying in to France, book a room and enjoy at least the afternoon or even the morning of the next day.
There are also at least two more 20€ private options in Bayonne (feel free to PM me for them).

Does this place also have a name? I might be interested.

Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
