I was looking through some information on the Camino Lebañiego, which was posted on another thread, and saw pictures of the albergue in San Vicente de la Barquera. Shocker! Clearly not the place I have stayed several times. But it looks to me like the address is the same.

Does anyone know about renovations, change in management, etc? I see that there is a recent negative comment about surly treatment from the hospitalero, so it may still be the same man I remember so well.;) But it looks like the place has been very much upgraded.

Any recent first hand info?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Hi pilgrims,

I have been in last setembre, like Marc said it was run by two volantiers. They do not book, give you a pillowcase and a sheet, there are not blankets, offer good breakfast and ask for donativo.
They still had not washing machine and dryer.

But things change, it seems there are new bedrooms and I was told this year 2022 the albergue will have a new hospitalera.

Ultreia!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
