A) when you stay in valenca one night you can NOT stay in Tui albergue the next night
B) Pontevedra albergue closed this sunday due to elections

Something i had to find out today by trial...
Last night i stayed in Valenca...and since I am still not feeling altogether very chipper and well and after 5 walking days of rain and rather damp clothes, I felt I would need a rest day in Tui.
i waited in cold and more rain several hours in Tui for the albergue to open at 13:00hr ...only to be turned away because I slept the night before in Valenca.
It was a rather pitiless affair.
- rules and regulation are all good and well, but if I am expected to inhale this knowledge and magically just KNOW it, the fun kind of ends.
If i had known it, i would have made other choices...but noone, even in Valenca albergue, did let me know nor have i read about this policy anywhere, or heard it mentioned.
I luckily was further informed that the PONTEVEDRA albergue will be closed this sunday due to elections. ('Perhaps the albergues is one of the polling stations?)
I looked and felt like death warmed up...and she kept telling me how she can not accept me because i did not know about this policy. To me it appeared she was personally offended that i did not know about it and how i dare even ask for space when all those pilgrims from ponte de lima would be arriving...---
There was no way to proceed with this matter, and i never try to reason or debate with people who are for whatever reason not capable to assess the given situation as is...and not according to statutes.
sooo, it was too late too start walking ( Nevermind that i did not feel strong enough to do so) but was also wondering where to find a room this late...
As i left she said i could come back at 20:00hr...and see if there is space.
Right...i was really in shape to hang about town in wind and rain for another 7 hours on the off- chance that she might allow me in.
Fat chance ...
I took an expensive room close by, with the luxury of a HEATER ...and now have the chance for the first time in many days to have completely dry clothes and a warm body.
Wonder If she is an example of what "hospitalieros" are like in spain....???
On the bright side: i spy blue sky and sit in a quiet WARM room next to the catedrale with private bath .
