Albergues Situation in Portugal and Spain

I am planning my first Camino from Porto to Compostela , for September 2022.
Are Albergues in Portugal and Spain open ? Are there any restriction in numbers of pilgrims for them? Is there still a cooking restriction in them?
Is there somewhere online a list of Albergues in use for 2022 ? (public/municipal and private)

Yes, albergues in Spain and Portugal are open, and have been for quite some time.

None of the Agrupación de Hospitaleros Voluntarios Camino de Santiago para Bizkaia Albergues are open yet. Arising presumably from continuing Covid concerns

Use Gronze.Com to know which albergues are open. The website is in Spanish, but your web browser can translate to English if you need it to. Just be sure to go back to "Spanish" to verify you have the correct name of albergues/towns - as they can sometimes be translated too. Gronze was the most accurate in alerting me to open vs closed albergues and it continues to be updated. Apps weren't accurate last summer - but I have heard reports that many have been updated.

Capacity - I have heard some are fully open to full capacity and some are reducing capacity still.

Kitchens - many are still closed - websites/apps/guidebooks don't indicate which ones are currently open, so if a kitchen is important to you - best to inquire directly with the albergue.

Communal dinners - many were not happening over the summer, a few still occurred. I think it is starting to improve - but I am not on trail yet so don't know for sure! But last summer - pilgrims still had communal meals at bars or in parks or when kitchens were open at the albergues.
