Hello ward4e,

I'm about a week behind you and staying in Paris to be able to get first morning Bayonne train.

Have separately posted for (reasonably priced) hotel recommendations near the Gare Montparnasse and would be interested to hear where you are staying.

Have a good time in Paris and buen camino.

Regards, John

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hello again ward4e,

... staying 1 night in appears cheaper than trying to blitz to bayonne from charles de gaulle on friday.

Does that mean you are intending to fly from CDG to Bayonne? Alternatively, if you want to travel by train to Bayonne, check out this link for booking ahead - allows you to nominate ticket collection country and lists Australia, but you could also collect at the Gare Montparnasse before boarding the train.

Let me know where you stay, I've drawn a blank at 2 of the recommendations, both of which are already full.

Regards, John
