I fly in 10 days!.Because of an achilles tear, I have to be prepared to transport part of my bag nightly
I am trying to retain some flexibility, as I am not sure how far I can walk each day.

Questions:
To know which accommodations will take a 20 L bag ahead -Do I just call each individually the day before to see if they will take transported bags?

And as I understand municipal albergues will not take any bags ahead,.correct t?

And is one day ahead the minimum time to arrange a room and pack transport?

Thanks everyone. Getting a bit nervous . I really want to be able to do this.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Hi LittleGreen60. Albergues don’t transport bags/packs. You need to arrange bag transfers with a transport company. If you are walking the Francés, you might use a company like Express Bourricot to get your bag to Orisson or Roncesvalles. After that, in Spain, JacoTrans could could transport your bag daily to your next albergue. You do need to know the bags destination the afternoon or night before when you make arrangements for it to be picked up. I don’t believe municiple albergues accept bags. It’s a very simple process where you contact the fransfer company the day before, leave your bag where instructed at the Albergue and then it is delivered to your next destination. The albergue where you are staying can assist you with this. With that said, you can make bed arrangements as far ahead as you’d like. However, the bag transfer is usually a day by day situation although you might be able to arrange bag pickup further out, but you’d have to check with the company like JacoTrans. Buen Camino!

Thank you :)
I don't think I phrased my first question correctly.
Regarding booking accommodations ahead:

Is there a list or guideline of which accommodations WILL NOT accept a transported bag from a transport company?

I would plan on not having it delivered to municipal and parochial albergues. Please make a reservation at the place where you want it to be delivered.

If you can make a reservation at a place, you should have no problem getting a bag delivered there. I would recommend getting an AirTag (or something like that), because one time JacoTrans missed my bag and I was able to tell them exactly where it was. Also it’s kind of fun to navigate to my lodging by following my Tag.

Sounds good
How do I get an air tag?
