Lots done and more to do!
Hi, with flights etc.. I will be arriving to start my Camino in Los arcos via bilbao and bus to lograno on the 15 Oct at about 10:30pm. I can foresee two issues here. 1 the curfew at most of the alburges.... And getting a 2 getting a bed at such a late hour..... Any ideas or suggestions?
thanks

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
In 2014 walking. I arrived late into Los Arcos after about 30 KM's and there was no place to stay. Please make a hotel reservation ,,,,Buen Camino

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Ensure that you check the location of your hotel as some are a distance from the town. And do let them know that you are arriving late and make arrangements for gaining access. We were caught in a storm and arrived late to find our booking cancelled. As @HalfDomeOrBust there was nowhere to stay but we fortunately found a room across the RĂo OdrĂłn at Casa Alberdi.

The webpage of albergue Casa Alberdi says that it accepts pilgrims until 23:00 hs. I don 't know it, but looks good. Anyway, notify the hospitaleros of your late arrival.

No matter your choice, study carefully where your albergue or hotel is in Google Maps, taking as a reference the main and notorious Iglesia de Santa MarĂa.
It is a village, there will be nobody in the streets at this hour, except in the bars. I have been in this situation before (not for a bus, but for a very looong and slow walk).
Apparently the bus stop is facing Hotel Monaco, where you can see the Santa Maria tower, but you better confirm it.
Buen camino!

Stay at a hotel in Bilbao and catch a bus in the morning.

You'll probably want to eat too.

Dragging yourself backward through a hedge is not good form. Neither is showing up at your destination so late that you don't know if you can get a bed or something to eat.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Ot take the bus to Logrono and stay there overnight. Then it's only a short bus ride to Los Arcos early in the morning from where you can start walking...
Lots more choice of accommodation in Logrono, and you won't arrive late enough to hit the curfew or disturb other pilgrims when you do get in.

hmmmm that sounds like a good idea. I'll see what's available to book in lograno. There appears to be nothing bookable in Los arcos for that date. It is very small I suppose. I could get an early taxi in the morn to los arcos and then go from there. Thanks for all your suggestions. My walking days are limited so staying in bilbao and then traveling to los arcos the next day would reduce my walking days available from 6 to 5 and would probably leave me short of this years goal to get as far as burgoo's. Thanks again.

I did this. Just check the route to bus station in Logrono. Depending on where you stay it's a bit of a walk in the "new" part of town. Bus to Los Arcos is frequent and reliable. Good cafe in Logrono bus station! Good luck!
