I’ve just seen an article describing the bag transport service that will be provided by Correos in 2024.

Here are the dates and caminos

From Sarria and Tui, available all year.

Available from Holy Week till the 31st of October:

Francés from Roncesvalles and Somport
Portugués from Tui and A Guarda (including Variante Espiritual)
Norte from Irún
Primitivo from Oviedo
Inglés from Ferrol
Invierno from Ponferrada
Vdlp/Sanabrés from Ourense
Santiago to Muxia and Finisterre

I’ve never used this service, but I have heard good things. The website for signing up has info in 9 languages!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The website has this to say about the Aragonés and the Invierno:

The Paq Mochila is also available on the Camino Francés from Somport and on the Camino de Invierno on request at paqmochila@correos.com.

Good idea to write ahead if that’s where you want to use them. The website also says that they will only take backpacks or carryons, with a 15 k maximum.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I am thinking in a "big way" of walking the Sanabres in April, after visiting a few of the major cities on the VdlP first as tourists. I haven't done much research yet, and would not plan to use the pack service, but knowing it would be an option after Ourense, should a minor injury occur, is good to know.

Note that there is no transfer of luggage on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1, so you will have to ship three stages ahead (and check with your accomodations to see if they will hold you bag) on the 23rd and 30th.

There are some restrictions too:
Only Backpack or cabin suitcase max. 15kg & Maximum distance/day: 60km.
No more big suitcases that you could see from time to time :)

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
We used Correos everyday of our walk from Roncevalles to Finisterre. (My wife has a bad back and cannot carry a pack for long) It was super easy to arrange, very flexible, and the pack was delivered by 1300h every day. We highly recommend the service. (We used Express Bourricot from SJPdP to Roncesvalles, also great)

We used Correos last summer when my wife and I hiked the Camino Norte and then the Primitivo. Like the Bergmannfamily, we had a great experience. Whenever we had questions, they responded immediately, even on weekends. We never had an issue with our bags. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and we recommend them without hesitation or reservation.

Thank you for sharing. On the Portuguese camino I had to give in because of an achillesheel injury and used a service for three days. Hope I can walk the VdlP without a luggage service this March, but it’s nice to know it is available.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
