Has anyone walked le Puy - Montbonnet via Bains/Fay?
If so, how was that route?
Has anyone had the chance to compare that route, with the route via Ramourouscle?
If so, what was your opinion.

We walked via Bains in September. We stayed at the Gite du Velay in Fay. It was very comfortable and food was great. €70 demi-pension for 2. Hosts were very friendly and included us in all conversation. It is quite a large gite but there were only 8 on the night we stayed. The distance from Bains to Fay seemed much longer in reality than how it looked on the Miam Miam map and we were glad to get there!! There was a lovely walk through forest the next day and then a steep downhill to St. Privat d'Allier.
