Bed bugs like to hide in soft furnishings, behind wall hangings, old beautiful stone walls, crevices and apparently also books. Makes sense as they offer a dark tight place to hide on your nightstand so they can ambush you after you drift off to sleep.

They arrived in some books that had been returned.
It was an Ealing library that had them in the furnishings.
Must have given the librarian a shock! 😮
