Thank you. Saw the namePersonally, I love the little albergue that is behind you and to your right just as you walk into Navarette. It is easily missed. JUST as you walk into Navarette, you will see an arrow pointing BACKWARDS and to the right. Clean, friendly, and convenient. They also have one or two private rooms.
It really depends on what you want. Of course, Logroño is a wonderful place if you like to party and go for tapas at night. But if you want a quieter experience, I vote for Navarette. Be sure to see the church there.
I agree, I was just about to post this same advice! In Logroño enjoy the tapas on Calle del Laurel, sleep in a bit, then have a short walk to Navarette. Why not both? Logrono is where I like to check into a hotel for a bath tub, and eat a real Spanish dinner. After a lazy breakfast, wander to navarette. These "short" days replace off days for me. The body gets a break, the mind stays in the pilgrim zone.
I feel the same. I very rarely spend two nights in the same place as I generally feel too restless and want to keep moving onwards. But a short day sometimes feels like a good idea. These "short" days replace off days for me. The body gets a break, the mind stays in the pilgrim zone.
Calle Laurel in Logroño opens late and shuts early except Friday and Saturday, it has a couple of highlights (anywhere serving just one tapa is always excellent) and a few ‘meh’ options. I’d go 1. Both or 2. NavarreteLogrono or Naverette. ? Where would I be better staying ?
Sorry. It's La Casa de Peregrino: AngelAnybody know the name ? Thanks all !!
Of the two, I’d go for Logroño, for its tapas places, if nothing else. Navarrete is a nice village and I stayed there for one night, but it’s quite small.Logrono or Naverette. ? Where would I be better staying ?
I really like that one in Navarette, too. I stayed in Logrono several times because I arrived 5 or 6 pm after a long day. It is OK, but tends to be crowded with tourists and locals, and very noisy until late or even all night.Personally, I love the little albergue that is behind you and to your right just as you walk into Navarette. Navarette for its small village charm amd tranquility. Logroño if you want bigger crowds and mix with a lot of drinkers and foodies.Logrono or Naverette. ? Where would I be better staying ?
