Anyone have suggestions? Last time I used Access America. Just thought I'd see what others have used.
Thanks! - Monica :)

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Hi MoniRose! :)
I've been looking into travel insurance & find that most of the one recommended to me where not available if you were from the U.S.
The one I'm considering is:
Travelinsure.com
USI affinity travel insurance services
InterMedical insurance
800-937-1387
The rates & coverage seem reasonable. I'm waiting until I call them Monday because I want to make sure that the Camino isn't considered a hazard activity, but I'm basically sold :D
Buen Camino!

For my Sept Camino I have Allianz which I purchased thru Delta Airlines when I bought my tickets. I have no clue if this is good or not. Anyone else have any experience with them?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I always use Travel Guard. I've heard nice things about them, and they are very nice, but fortunately I've never had to test them.

HalfDomeOrBust, did the insurance through Delta include Medical? I've seen some travel insurance that are only specifically for flight/hotel reservations. I would call Delta & check to see exactly what's covered. Make sure you mention that you'll be walking the Camino, just in case there's exclusions.
Buen Camino!

And also make sure you have "Emergency Evacuation" coverage. My policy with Travel Guard came with a half million dollars worth, and for four more dollars I kicked that up by another half million.

If you are injured to the point that you can not board a commercial airliner, getting you back to the US could cost A LOT of money. Think about what a private jet to fly across the Atlantic could cost . . . . . .

I received a packet with the insurance that states what medical coverage is included. It seems reasonable for what I "may" need in Spain. Just like everyone else, hope we do not need to use it.......

Good point. Looks like I have "Emergency Evacuation" coverage as well----- a half million dollars worth for evacuation. I wonder if anyone has any experience using Allianz and if it is positive....

I am also looking into InsureadnGo. It had a lot of good reviews. $128 for the best benefits.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

We have used Allianz with good success. We had to make a claim for an early return because of an injury and they paid the ticket change fees without a problem. We have not had to use them for medical payments.

I did the same, buying Allianz, but through American Airlines. Looks like very good and very affordable coverage on paper, I just hope that I'll never have to find out if it actually is! ;)

I guess that it's like any kind of insurance we buy. We never ever really want to use it. Buen Camino and when do you start?

Thank you, everyone! - Monica

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2

Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
