Biking from surrounding area of Vigo

Time of past OR future Camino
June 2024
I am hiking the Camino with my parents and teenagers this June and we had planned to start around Vigo (airport we are flying into). My dad is recovering from gout so has opted to cycle with pedal assist (not worried about getting the 200km cycle compostela).

Any recommendations for companies to hire bikes from in that area and good locations to start if we wanted to get a little more coast experienced? Was originally thinking Oia (little) or Bairona.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Check out Cycling Rentals. They have always been very helpful to me the times that I’ve talked with them. They deliver bikes anywhere in Portugal and Spain and then pick up in SdC. Their website describes all their options including e-bikes. The only difficulty that you might run into is that bikes for June might already be spoken for. But, in any case, if you’re calling from the US, there’s a FL number for reaching them. Ask for Didi.

Thank you! I’m actually in Australia and it appears that to make an inquiry you need to know all information, including hotel with a booking number.

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
I will second that recommendation! Cycling-rentals.com and ask for Didi. She outfitted six of us with e-bikes last year and the company is fabulous.

Is there a dedicated guide for cyclists that suggests alternatives to the rocky/steep parts of the trail? I found a link to a 2018 one on another thread, but it is no longer available.
Hope to do st Jean de port to finisterre in September 24 on bike. To buy a bike in Ireland and transport or buy in France. Any thoughts welcomed
Hola a todos, since last Sunday I've been riding the Primitivo from Oviedo. It has been challenging, interesting, my bell has been tinged when necessary, I've been impressed by the peregrinos...
