Time of past OR future Camino
2016 camino frances from st jean pied du port-Finisterre-Muxia. In 2018 plans for del norte
Hi i have downloaded two aps, the one is called buen camino and the other is called wise pilgrims guide Norte. The reason why i now have two app's is that i cant find out what kind of routes the maps in the different apps are showing. In the buen camino app, there is a yellow route, but also a green route, does anyone know what the colors means? And in the wise pilgrims guide Norte app, there is a red route, and a blue route, whats the difference? I have tried to contact the producers of the apps without luck. Hope to get the mystery sortet out here...

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
In Buen Camino, Green is the alternative/bike route - walkers can use it during inclement weather. I’m using this app on the Camino and it’s generally good, but a bit out of date and some alburgue locations are incorrectly located. I LOVE the map function, though, since it tracks my location without WiFi or cell access

Also, on the Buen Camino app, I believe there is an icon in the upper right corner of the maps that give you a simple color legend. If you zoom in where the paths cross or diverge there is often a red square. if you click on that it will take you to the description of where the paths go, generally.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
There’s no color legend, but you are correct in that there is a little signpost icon which gives more info on the two paths being presented

Alas, mine must be different. It is a square with a question mark in it...At least there's the little signpost!

Does anyone know the difference between the red and the blue route in the wise pilgrims app?

The blue route is the "main" route, or the "official" route. The red route is the alternative.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Thank you:) Would you recommend the alternative route? I have read somewhere, that an alternative route closer to the ocean were recommended.
