Bus or Uber from Santiago to airport

Hi,
I understand there is a bus 6A from Santiago city centre to the airport, but I also understand that it is often super full and I’m afraid I won’t even manage to get on the bus from the stop which is close to my albergue (Rua Monte dos Postes); the first stop of the bus (train station) is too far.
If I can’t get on the bus, is there Uber in Santiago and how much is it to the airport? Or does anyone have a reliable taxi number to call and how much is a taxi?
Thanks

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

A few weeks ago I was staying at St Martin Pinario, and the reception staff booked a taxi to take me to the airport. It would have cost me something like 26€, but I met 3 other peregrinas staying there who also wanted to go to the airport, so we split the fare 4 ways. I don’t know where you’re staying in SdC, but SMP do try and arrange for guests to share taxis to the airport.

EDIT: just seen that you mentioned your albergue in your post. When you check in, might be worth mentioning to the host, and also if chatting with other guests re potential taxi share.

Taxi cost me 23€ last Sunday to the airport.Reception called it for me. I think there is no Uber.

I used a taxi last week, which hotel reception booked for me, it cost 26 euros. I used the bus a couple of years ago cost 1 euro. However, if I remember correctly, it takes about an hour versus 20 mins in a taxi.

Just take the bus. Don't leave it until the last minute in relation to your flight time. You'll likely spend an hour plus in the airport anyway.

Both options are viable, I believe the bus has just gone up to €1.20. Yes, sometimes the bus can be quite full. You could always try and if that doesn't work call a taxi.
The taxi fee is fixed at 23 euros, it becomes €26 if you book it in advance.
Great suggestions above about asking around in your Albergue and mentioning it to your host.

Bus is still 1€ and it takes 30 minutes.

You can also walk if you have plenty of time. I walked from the airport into Santiago. It is about 15 km and joins with the Camino Frances after the first few km. I found it a great way to START my Camino Finisterre. But then I took the bus out to the airport when I left.
