A member has asked the current status of bus service from Pamplona to St. Jean. I have not kept up with this and hesitate to answer the question. The last time I did this there was no bus service and a taxi was the only real option..but I know this has changed.

They are flying to Madrid and then bus to Pamplona this month (September).

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

It was always my understanding that in winter there are no buses and in spring they start back up, first one a day, then increasing to two, on up. We stayed with Istvan in April 2015 and he drove us to SJPdP the following morning. The next spring we had to take a taxi and the driver drove like "a bat out of hell"! If a bus had been available I would have gladly preferred it.

Just to add that over here in Europe all dates are written as hour/day/month/year ;)

Came in to St Jean today from PNA on the 10am bus. Made an advance reservation on GoEuro website. All good. Others arrived on the later 2 o’clock bus. Should have no problems
