Time of past OR future Camino
March 30, 2022 to April 20, 2022
I am planning to finish my Camino in Santiago on April 15, 2022 and then take a bus to Muxia on April 16, 2022. When I check the bus website http://www.grupoferrin.com/index.aspx it no longer shows any routes. Is there another company that offers bus service from Santiago to Muxia? or maybe they have suspended the service until the spring because of COVID?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

One day when you have time I would highly recommend the walk to Muxia. I finally walked it last year. It is the same route most of the way as if you are going to FInisterre. Both coastlines are beautiful but I love the town of Muxia much more. It is mellower and nicer in my opinion. The walk to the lighthouse in FInisterre or the church in Muxia are both wonderful. Whereas you are on the cliffs at the lighthouse, you are right on the ocean at the church. I think both are wonderful but to spend a few days after your camino to just relax and reflect and to get away from the mild intensity of Santiago, I think Muxia is a far better option.

It56ny - Thanks for your comments. Because of our time limitations, once we finish our Camino to Santiago, we plan to take the bus to Muxia (spend the day there), then spend two days walking from Muxia to FInisterre. Then take the bus back to Santiago and take the train back to Madrid to catch our flight back to Canada.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

A good plan. The walk between Muxía and Finisterre is lovely.

Timely advice. I have been debating which of the two destinations to walk to. Hope to get there mid May and stay a few days. Any hostel recommendations?

I stayed at the Muxia Mare Hostel. It was a good location. Very close to the ocean, near some restaurants and grocery stores. Full kitchen to cook. It was clean and the owners and their family could not have been nicer or more helpful. My bed had a curtain and outlet and i think a light also.
The second day I was there the hot water heater broke. They rent apartments upstairs and opened an apartment or two for us to shower in. They had repair men there immediately and had a new heater installed by the evening.
