The 2012 fall meeting of the Calgary Chapter of the Canadian Company of Pilgrims will be held Saturday, November 10 at Good Shepherd Anglican Church,408 - 38 Street SW, Calgary. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and meeting begins 7:00. Everyone is welcome.
The talk for the evening is "Le Chemin du Puy" presented by Gerry Geoghegan. Gerry walked the Camino Frances in 2010. In the summer of 2011 he walked from Le Puy en Velay to St Jean Pied de Port and on to Puenta La Reina. The busyness of the Camino Frances led him to leave this well-travelled route. He took the bus to San Sebastian and walked the Camino del Norte along the coast through Bilbao, Santander and Gijon to Ribadeo in Galicia where the camino turns inland to join the Camino Frances at Arzua and on to Santiago de Compostella. This year he spent 18 days on the Chemin d'Arles in the South of France.
