Camino de PORTUGUÉS (November 2019)
Hello! I am planning to walk the Camino de PORTUGUÉS starting from La Guarda along the Coastal (littoral route?) in November. Likely starting in mid November. I was curious if it will be too cold? I'm don't mind rainy weather at all as I'll have some outdoor gear and waterproof clothes. Should I be concerned about the weather or prepared for rain all the time. But will the hostels and alburques still be open since it's off season? Maybe it would it be best to book in advance.

Any suggestions for preparations for walking the Camino in November would be greatly appreciated... I'm very excited about it and really looking forward to it. Thank you all so much!

Take a sleeping bag if you are planning on staying in municipal albergues, and some warm clothes to change into after walking - for the albergue - as on the rainy days might be a bit chilly inside. Although Nov is autumn not winter and should be mild. It'll all be well! Bom Caminho! :)

Boa sorte on your camino - BTW, there's no "de" in it - as written, it would translate from Spanish as "path of Portuguese." (In Portuguese, it's written "português"). I think the confusion comes in because there is a "de" or "del" before Santiago / norte / invierno, because those are nouns and need the "de" to make them modifiers - "francés" and "português" are already adjectives.

Hi, I want to start also in November. On Facebook I read reports on bad weather: heavy rain, hailstorm and slippery ways. I asked on Facebook if the way is good for walking now. I will let you know about the replies. Best Georg

Thank you! Please do let me know! I'm pretty prepared for most weather so I think I'll still give it a go. But I would love to know what to expect
