Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Where did you begin and end?
How many nights did you camp?

Just curious.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
We're going from the end of May to the first of July. I have run the miles every way I can to figure out how to make the walk on the Frances in basically one month. Can't figure it out without shortcutting some of it with a bus or train ride. It looks like a 34 day walk with no breaks and some beasty days. How did you manage?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Just do longer days. Simple as that.
I prefer to walk more, around 40 km a day, and just take a zero day at a big city.
You need breaks.

Even for someone like I, built for comfort and not for speed, 27/28 days is not unreasonable. One needn’t walk fast, just steady away and keep going. There is really nothing ‘beastly’ on the Frances.

There’s also nothing admirable about ‘completing’ a Camino quickly. For those who might want to impress there are countless more difficult routes to undertake.

And how did you manage to walk 56km in one day?!!
40-45 kms days every fifth day followed by days around 28-30 kms will easily get you to Santiago in about 25-26 days. I did just that in August for a total of 26 days and I am 70 years old.

If one is willing to walk ~56km like jjev one can walk it in closer to two weeks. A month is no problem!

It all depends on how far one is ready to walk in a day. If you are ready to average 27 km a day, a month is doable. If not, it will likely take longer.
