Camino Frances - SJPP to Muxia

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino de Invierno (2023)
I plan to start walking the Camino Frances from SJPP on May 23 or 24, depending on how long it takes to there from Paris (arriving May 22) and recover from the flight and travel from Boston. Planning to walk to Muxia via Finisterre. I have just a few days short of two months to do this and so, if there is time left at the end, I plan to look for other walking opportunities in northern Spain or return to Paris to do some exploring there before leaving on July 20.

Almost two months to walk to Muxia from SJPdP? Oh yeah, plenty of time. Should be a very relaxed pace.

My family walked 35 days fro SJPdP to Santiago, and then last summer hubby and I did Santiago to Finesterre via Muxia. The Muxia trip took us 5 days, about 12 miles/day. So, two months should be plenty of time.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
With that much time you could get to Santiago de Compostela then on to Muxia/Finisterre and then take a short bus ride and do the Camino Ingles too.
Great to have that kind of time! Enjoy!!

I just hiked the beginning of the Norte. The coastal paths from Bidart in France west to Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Hendaye then over the border near Irun to Hondarribia and Pasai then into San Sebastian/Donostia. They were coastal paths that gave you a wonderful view of the ocean for all 4 days. I found a hostel in San Sebastian then each morning took the train/bus up to the beginning of my hike for the day. It was longer than expected because you had to walk to and from the beginning and end of the path, but worth every moment.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

These hikes were wonderful and the weather was accommodating 17 -20 degrees at the end of Jan.

BShea thank you for the link it was invaluable.

BShea came up with this link and as I said it was amazing - full map and detail of each hike.
