Hi travellers. My name is Ian and myself and 2 other reasonably fit 60+ year olds are starting the Camino Frances off from SJPDP on Wednesday and planning to do the Napoleon route via short hop to Orisson and then the longer one to Roncevalles on Thursday. The weather forecast is bitterly cold with 95% chance of rain. Should we be 1. Delaying our start or 2. Doing the Valcarlos route or 3. Both! Would appreciate any input.

I’m a day behind you. There’s a Scottish (I think) saying something like there is no bad weather, only bed preparation- or clothing - or no rain gear -or … you get it. Just a tip - following Sarah Dhooma, wear waterproof gloves in the freezing rain
