Camino Francis. Falling up

easygoing

Camino Sharon
Time of past OR future Camino
I have walked the Camino Francis 7 times, twice in 2017 and 2018. (2019)
Hi everyone. I post this because I am not the only one who struggles with fear.
May 26 I leave Seattle and meet my two granddaughters in the Dallas airport for our flight to Paris. Each time I walk the Camino I face a personal challenge that enriches my life ( maybe not immediately) 😁. Last May I fell and torn a hamstring which seemed to heal, however, after walking again in September I have developed flexor tendonitis. Tendonitis is very slow healing. Slow is not who I am, but this camino I am falling up. This means embracing who I am at this moment in life and this is not easy. Each time I have fallen I was talking to a new person. Although walking the Camino has helped me be more outgoing, thinking back to the falls I realize that I still get nervous talking to people and that stiffness throws off my balance and awareness.
If being with a 21 and 15 year old granddaughters who adore me doesn't erase rejection that happened so many years ago I am not really trying.
This Camino I will fall up☺️

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Last year on my Camino walk I met Sabbat, the most amazing Perrigrino during my journey. We had difficulties with language barriers but he was walking with his oldest of 10 grandchildren, Maria. Sabbat is my age and Maria usually walked faster but What A Blessing!!!! He is from Spain.
