Camino Ingles - Numbers of Pilgrims

This post contains a graph showing numbers and trends by month of Compostelas issued for Pilgrims on the Camino Ingles (as defined by the Pilgrim Office), since 2016 but excluding the Covid years.

Keep in mind that the data is by month of arrival in Santiago de Compostela.

It is interesting to note that numbers of Pilgrims have been increasing at a steady pace, year-on-year since 2016 and this year there has been a large jump in numbers, particularly in July. At the time of posting, of course, we don't yet know what the August and September numbers will look like.

Thank you for showing me this data - i was think of doing the Camino Ingles next year around April/May.
Gives me an idea how much people do it at the moment

That explains why when I did it in March (18 I think) I only saw two other peregrinos. About 105 per day in July this year must have filled the accommodation at times. It’s not plentiful.

We will be included in Sept. 2022 as we will arrive in SdC on 30 Sept. We decided on a short walk despite a month in Spain as we have missed traveling for the past three years. Ultreia!
